Rock This Way
2016 Senior Project for New media design. Rock this Way is a personalized tour guide through the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The PRoblem
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame identified multiple gaps in the experience that guests have today while going through their exhibits.
They came to our senior project team with several requests:
Increase guest interaction
Increase socialization between guests
Give guests information to take home with them,
And most importantly give them a reason to come back.
Concept
We created a mobile application on both iOS and Android, which helps guest create a personalized experience at the Rock Hall. Guests take a quick survey to determine the best path for them, based on musical interests.
Guests are notified when they are near the next point of interest, and are able to play interactive games with other guests at each exhibit.
To solve the Rock Hall's original problems, we gamified various exhibits, and created a leaderboard for guests to interact with and challenge each other. Lastly, the leaderboard persists over time, which encourages guests to return in the future and stay on top.
Personas
The Rock Hall had done research about their guests. They introduced several different guest personas. Our team focused on a few particular personas.

Take away
This was my first time working directly with an external client. Our team took their statement of needs and transformed them from a concept into a completed application. As a team we learned how to communicate across different disciplines of design and development, and how to work together effectively.
